Happy Wednesday! I put out an AMA request and got some fun (and heavy) questions that I’m answering today! I’m answering 8 questions - there’s a little bit of everything in here including: a really bad dating story from my past that honestly needs a trigger warning, something that annoys me about influencers, drugstore beauty recs, shows that i’m watching, summer flats, and a book update!
Before I get to those questions, I’m sharing a mini ‘on my radar’ round up of discoveries.

I’ve been trying out this new glossing hair detangler from Jennifer Aniston’s new hair line and I really like it! It’s a heat protectant, frizz fighter, hydrator, detangler all in one. The scent is amazing.
This blue floral dress is from Hill House’s new Event collection, she’s stunning.
That metal inlay raffia tote is on my wishlist. It’s the perfect little size and feels special.
Both of those chain necklaces are also on my wishlist. They’re the new drop from Dorsey!
Current Body actually offered me gifting for their new Red & Blue LED Therapy Mask and, while it hasn’t delivered yet, I already know I’ll love it because it’s an upgrade from their version that I already have. I cannot wait to get it! It has more LEDs and now has the blue lights included, which “eliminates bacteria to target existing blemishes and helps prevent new ones from forming”. And the red light “boosts collagen production and reduces inflammation, helping to improve healing and even skin tone”. I use my current mask every day, usually at night after I shower or wash my face.

“I’m single and it’s rough out here. I’d honestly love to hear a cringy dating story from your past.”
So here’s the thing, my dating experience ended in 2005 (pre dating apps!), and honestly dating seems like a completely different world now. I was always more of a long term relationship girl, so most of my dating stories are really just boyfriend stories from when I was younger.
Funny timing on this question though, my uncle literally texted me yesterday saying he met a guy who told my uncle that he was one of my middle school boyfriends, which felt like the universe telling me to share this story!
I have to be honest, my most memorable “dating” story isn’t really cringy in a fun way. It’s actually pretty serious, so I want to give a heads up about that.
When I was a freshman in high school, I broke up with my sweet boyfriend (who was genuinely lovely - made me a spaghetti dinner for our anniversary, we were on homecoming court together, the whole thing) because I had a crush on an older guy at school. As you do…
The older guy and I dated for about 2 months, and at first it seemed exciting. But he turned out to have serious anger and control issues. When I tried to break up with him he wouldn’t accept it, showing up at my house, following me around school, making threats if I didn’t get back together with him.
